Wonderful Wednesday!

Hello Bobcats! I hope you are having a great day! I challenge you to have a dance party! You can do a freeze dance, having someone pause the music every few seconds and freeze like a statue. You can also follow a just dance video or go noodle video too! Remember if you are looking up a dance video to follow do it with an adult, for your safety! My daughter and I tried a go noodle dance called the Maxarena. Doing this dance we crossed the imaginary line down the middle of our body called the midline. Did you know you could make your brain stronger too?! Crossing the midline promotes coordination and communication of both sides of the brain. It helps your brain grow and develop to complete simple tasks like putting on your socks and shoes! When you are dancing I challenge you to cross the midline of your body! Have a great day! Miss you tons! Mrs.Ham

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday, Bobcats! My son and I have been doing a lot of pickaxing, digging and hauling of dirt to help my husband finish a patio.  It’s been a fun project that has gotten us all outside and moving together.  I hope you are all continuing to do some fun activities with your families as well! We love hearing about what you’re up to! We miss being in PE with you all and my family really misses soccer games. Though we can’t play competitive sports or even really play with friends, remember what we always say about the type of improvements we strive for in PE.  The competition is with yourself—it’s about achieving your PERSONAL BEST.   So, whatever activity you enjoy, challenge yourself to improve.  Pick an activity and set a goal.  It can be a short term goal (like for the week) or even better, a longer term goal.  Maybe you train to run that extra distance, hold your plank longer,  or increase the times you juggle a soccer ball. Whatever y...

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Bobcats! I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for another week of online learning! We will continue to post an extra challenge here on our website each day along with our choice board options. We hope you are accepting some of our challenges throughout the next few weeks. Please make sure you message us on seesaw to show us what you have been up to. We even have a PE folder on seesaw to store your pictures! Today I challenge you to make a fruit or veggie kabob. This can even be made with a mix of fruits and veggies. You can also make a rainbow out of your fruits and veggies without the kabob stick! Fruits and veggies are a healthy snack. If you are looking for something a little sweeter, fruit is the way to go! My favorite fruit is a kiwi! What is yours? We hope you have a great day!! -Stay Active, Mrs. Ham

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Bobcats! You made it! Another week of online learning almost complete! I am sure you are doing great! Today I challenge you to bounce a ball into a bucket. It sounds pretty simple but I tried many times before being successful. You have to have the right combination of force and distance. That means how hard you bounce the ball and how far it goes. If you don't have a ball that you can bounce, I challenge you to use an underhand toss and toss a ball or rolled up socks into a bucket or bowl. I hope you have a chance to get outside even if it is just for a walk. Have a great weekend! Miss you tons! -Mrs Ham

Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday! We took a bit of a different path through our woods the day this picture was taken of Moon.  She stumbled upon Joy!!!  As we looked more closely, we saw beautifully painted rocks that read love, happy, peace scattered on the trail.  What a fun find that made us all smile!   Another thing that I’ve noticed in our neighborhood are really kind chalk messages.  Today, your challenge is to leave something kind for others to see.  We all must continue to stay apart but it’s important to remember that we’re still here for each other and care very much.  So, let’s make someone SMILE from a DISTANCE since right now, it’s the best we can do! As always, stay healthy and stay active!   Smiles, Ms. Emert ❤️

What's Up Wednesday!?

Greetings Bobcats! Today is going to be a beautiful day! We woke up and the sun is shining! Did you know going outside and getting fresh air is great for your body!? The sun gives you a special vitamin called vitamin D. Vitamin D helps your immune system function properly. Our immune system is the system that helps fight off sickness. Vitamin D also helps your bones grow and get stronger. Similar to the challenge Mrs. Emert gave you yesterday, we challenge you to go outside today and do something that makes you happy! This morning we went out and played on our swing set! What makes you happy? Enjoy the beautiful day today! Enjoy Earth Day! Mrs. Ham
