As most of you know, sun safety is something I am very serious about! So, here we go!!
Some sun is good and here’s why. When our skin is exposed to the sun, our bodies make vitamin D, which helps our body absorb calcium for stronger, healthier bones. We also get vitamin D from healthy foods and even supplements so you only need a short amount of time in the sun!
Too much unprotected exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause skin damage, eye damage, weakener immune system, and skin cancer. This is why you *MUST PROTECT YOURSELF* by wearing SUNSCREEN and avoiding too much exposure.
☀️Before you head out, be sun smart:☀️
🌞use SUNSCREEN (SPF 30+)
☂ seek SHADE and 🧢COVER up👕 between 10-4 when the sun is the strongest
😎 wear SUNGLASSES to protect you eyes
🖐apply and reapply sunscreen often and generously!
